Michael James Alexander, age 66 of Gallatin passed away March 5, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Alexander served his country for 27 years in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring, he taught for several years at Nashville Auto-Diesel College and served as a correctional officer for the State of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Robley. Survivors include his wife, Maria Alexander; sons, Chris Jones of Portland, and Jim Jones of Goldonna, LA; daughter, SFC Jacqueline Sexton of Brooklyn, NY; sister, JoAnn Alexander of Baltimore, MD, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9th from 3-8 p.m. at Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be conducted on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Gideon officiating.
