Rev. Maynard G. Miller, age 75 of Hendersonville, TN passed away February 28, 2008, surrounded by his family after being hospitalized at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Rev. Miller is survived by his wife, Louise Miller of Hendersonville, Tennessee, his daughter, Sharon Edward E. Darling of Liverpool, New York and his son, John Melinda Miller of Nampa, Idaho, as well as two grandchildren, Wendy Darling of Columbus, Ohio and Ryan Darling of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Miller of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Jim Miller of Denver, Colorado and Bob Miller of Nampa, Idaho, as well as his sister, Betty Frampton-Powell of Nampa, Idaho. Rev. Miller was born May 28, 1932 in Guernsey, Wyoming and raised in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He was a graduate of Pasadena Nazarene College and Southeast Missouri State University. Rev. Miller retired in 1994 after serving for more than thirty years as an elementary school teacher. He was an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, having ministered most recently at Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M., Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene. Entombment will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens Chapel of Memories Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. and from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene, in memory of Maynard's years of service to the church.
