Mauriece "Don" Templeton

Mauriece “Don” Templeton, age 91, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away in his home on January 11, 2025. Born November 24, 1933 in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Don was a graduate of Greenbrier High School in 1952.

Don entered the Navy in June of 1953 and served at bases in California & Virginia, followed by serving in Vietnam & Korea. He retired from the Navy in May of 1974, after 19 years of honorable service.

After the Navy, Don was a pharmaceutical sales representative for Syntex Laboratories in Nashville, TN. During retirement, he loved to travel and visit with his many friends. Don enjoyed many things in life such as playing Bridge, bowling, fishing, and hunting. Don was a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to the many people who loved him.

Left to cherish memories of Don are his wife of 67 years, Ruby “Mary” Templeton, granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Emily Templeton Ford (Will) of Starkville, MS, MaryKate Templeton Buckner (Brian) of Huntersville, NC, and three great-granddaughters: Ruby and Clara Ford, and Avery Buckner

Don was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary McClurkan Templeton, his son Mauriece Dale Templeton, and his grandson Graham Templeton.

A joint service will be held at a later date with his wife Mary.
