Mary Jean Durham Dorris "Dee", of White House, passed away August 1, 2019 at age 91. Born in Hendersonville, TN to the late William Robert and Elma Hale Durham. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Dorris; brothers, Carl, Earl and Jim Durham, and sister Junie Durham Scott. Survived by her children, Vicki Dorris Catoe (Ken Wiechman) Hermitage, TN, Jan Dorris Story (Bob), Clarksville, TN, Bob Dorris (Teresa) White House, TN, Diane Dorris Pendley (Bud) White House, TN; grandchildren, Stacey Storey Preston (Landon), Jamie Storey Sandoval (Adam), Ashley Storey Youmans (Kyle), Kelly Dorris Jones (Wesley), Rob Dorris (Taylor), Kim Dorris Harms (Brandon), Ragan Pendley Williamson (Maclin), Leah Pendley Goodwin (Brandon), Sara Perdue Rose (Jared); nine great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of the Hendersonville High School class of 1947, where she was the Football Queen during the 1946-1947 school year. Dee was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home White House Sunday from 1-6 pm. Funeral service will be 1 pm Monday August 5, 2019 at Temple Baptist Church, 117 Marlin Rd., White House with Rev. H.D. Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am until service time at the church. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery. Rob Dorris, Kyle Youmans, Landon Preston, Wesley Jones, Brandon Harms and Brandon Goodwin will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Legacy building fund at Temple Baptist Church.
