Frances Boswell

Mary Frances Boswell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and member of the community, passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2023 in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. She was born on September 30th, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late James Alva Webb and Jessie Arnett.

Frances was known for her vibrant and joyful personality. Her love for music was evident throughout her life as she enjoyed singing and playing various instruments such as the piano and bass fiddle. Her musical talents were greatly appreciated by all who had the pleasure of hearing her perform.

Frances's deep faith led her to be an active member of the Goodlettsville Southern Methodist Church. She found solace and strength in her religious beliefs which she shared with her family and friends.

As a loving wife of 64 years, Frances shared a wonderful journey through life with her husband Wallace Lee Boswell until his passing in August 18, 2016. Their love and commitment to each other was unwavering and served as an inspiration to everyone around them.

Devoted to her family, Frances raised three boys - Randall Wallace Boswell, Larry Wayne Boswell, and Troy (Kendra) Boswell. She poured out all her love into nurturing their growth and guiding them towards becoming the remarkable individuals. Frances's dedication as a mother extended beyond her immediate family; she treated her grandchildren, Liza Jane and Cash, as the apple of her eye. They fondly called her "Mamaw" and cherished every moment spent in her loving company.

Frances's talents extended beyond being a wonderful homemaker. She created a warm and inviting space where family and friends felt instantly welcomed.

In addition to her immediate family, Frances is survived by her sister Marjorie Ann Link and husband Michael Link, Shirley Jean Whitley and husband Don Whitley, James Murray Webb Sr. and wife Cindy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. Their lives were enriched by Frances's love and kindness.

A visitation will be held to honor Frances's life on August 1st, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

Mary Frances Boswell brought immense joy and love into the lives of those around her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and the community she touched during her remarkable journey. May her soul rest in peace, and may her legacy of love and music continue to inspire us all.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Lee Boswell; children, Randall Wallace Boswell and Larry Wayne Boswell; sisters, Marguerite Louise Jones and Dorothy Seigenthaler.
