Martha Mai Watson, 91, of White House was called home to be with her Lord Thursday, March 11, 2021. Born August 21, 1929 in Dixon Springs, TN, she was the daughter of the late Wirt Lee Wilburn and Nellia Mai Oldham Wilburn. Martha was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Aberdeen Watson; and her siblings, John, Raymond & Lethia. Martha truly loved the Lord, her family, and church. She loved family gatherings, entertaining, and especially enjoyed hosting preachers from the revivals she would have over every Sunday years ago. She had worked for many years in retail sales. She worked at Harvey's in downtown Nashville and later at Castner Knot from which she retired. Martha is survived by her son, Morris (Brenda) Watson; her daughter, Wanda Woodard; grandchildren, Katina (James) Parsley, Mich Woodard, Troy (Anna) Watson, Chad (Rebecca) Watson and Rachel (Josh) Scull; 8 great-grandchildren and a brother, Sam Wilburn. The family would like to thank the staff of High Point Hospice for the care and support given to Martha. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 14th from 2 to 6 pm and Monday March 15th from 12noon to 2 pm at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, White House, TN. A celebration of life service will be held Monday at 2pm followed by interment at Dixon Springs Cemetery, Dixon Springs, TN. The family requests that those attending the visitation or service kindly wear masks. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concord Missionary Baptist Church, C/O Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, 212 Highway 76, White House, TN 37188.
