Marsha Smith

Marsha Frances Smith, 73, of White House, TN passed away Thursday September 12, 2019. Born June 30, 1946 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Horace F. Strauss and Shirley (Rabenold) Strauss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Peter F. Smith. Marsha was raised and educated in New Jersey, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1964. She later moved to Florida and in 2004 she moved to White House where she could be with her family here. Marsha owned and operated Riverway Plaster Craft in Clinton, NJ and had also worked as a real estate agent. Known for her interior decorating skills, she was also accomplished at landscape design. In her spare-time she enjoyed shopping and was always interested in fashion. Marsha is survived by her children, David M. (Sioux) Smith and Laura Lee Smith; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Linda (John) Bower, Lisa (William) Gonder, and Horace Strauss; and her puppy companion Eddie. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Berean Baptist Church, 268 Marlin Rd., White House, TN from 6 PM to 7 PM with a celebration of life service at 7 PM. Burial will be in Deland Memorial Gardens, Deland, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cole & Garrett Funeral Home of White House. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to High Point Hospice Gallatin, TN.
