Mark J. Hearn, age 78 of Franklin, Kentucky passed away on Monday, May 26, 2008 at Centennial Medical Center. A native of Anniston Alabama, he was born to the late Dave M. and Essie Wilkerson Hearn Sr. Mr. Hearn was an educator and administrator for 36 years and a minister for 60 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters; Gertrude Bowen, Anne Hare, Lura Dennis, and loving mother-in-law, Frances T. Gregory. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jewell Hearn of Franklin, Kentucky; daughter, Sharon Ragsdale Max of Franklin, Tennessee; son, Richard Hearn of Nashville; granddaughters, Heather Ragsdale and Haley Ragsdale both of Franklin, Tennessee; brother, Dave M. Hearn Evelyn of Murfreesboro; sister, Mary Humphries Clinton of Mesquite, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Hartsville Pike Church of Christ with Bro. Jeff Archey, Bro. Charles Williams, Bro. Ray Frizzell, and Bro. Burnice Wesbrooks officiating. Entombment will follow at the Sumner Memorial Gardens mausoleum. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Fountain Head Church of Christ, Elders and Former Elders of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ, J.C. Kemp, Milton Hoffman, Jack White, Bob Byron, Ronnie Birdwell, Alvis Miller, Bob Walters, Louis Lester, Clem McDearman and Morgan Moore. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Perdue, Duane Perdue, Scot Perdue, Kerry Poole, Troy Estes, Eric Hagan, Bill Meguiar, and Stanley South. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will resume on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. until 12 Noon at the Gallatin Funeral Home, and From 1:00 until time of service at the Hartsville Pike Church of Christ.
