Survived by: wife, Ethel Fay Sloan Poe, Hendersonville, TN, daughter, Paula Poe Murrell, Hendersonville, TN, step son, Don Lindley, Louisville, KY, grandson, Eric Murrell, Hendersonville, TN, granddaughter, Lauren Murrell, Hendersonville, TN, sister, Alice Austin, Ft. Worth, TX, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marion was born in Teague, TX and raised in Ft. Worth, TX. He graduated from Technical High in 1944 and enlisted in the Air Force during World War II where he served for three years. He attended Texas Wesleyan College and Tulsa University. He then worked for Vought Corp in Grand Prarie, TX for 37 years. He lived for 32 years in Arlington, TX. He retired in 1987 and moved to Hendersonville, TN in 1988. He was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 until service time. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 19 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Allen R. Lindsey officiating. Interment will be in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
