Ms. Marilynn C. Parker, 73, of Gallatin, passed away peacefully April 16, 2017. She was born on November 9, 1943 to the late Carl and Mary Elizabeth Choate. She is also preceded In death by her husband, Bubba Parker; and daughter, Cindy Vance.
Ms. Parker was a very loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed being anywhere with her family, and especially Gatlinburg, TN. She spent her time doing puzzles, quilting, and cooking. Along with her own family, she loved her church family, at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her classmates grew up with her through grade school, high school, marriages, family, and deaths. She loved listening to music, with some of her favorites being Vince Gill and anything in the church hymnal. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister; and she will be truly missed.
She is survived by her two sons, Mike Parker and Tom (Tami) Parker; seven grandchildren, Shaun (Selina) and Nick Vance, Kara, Kendra, Cody, Dacota, and Dalton Parker; one sister, Jennette (Randy) Frazer; son-in-law, Greg Vance; and sister-in-law, Shirley Briley.
A life celebration will be held at 3pm on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4-8pm at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home and then again at the church one hour prior to the service. Cole and Garrett of Goodlettsville in charge of arrangements.
