Marie P. Jackson, age 90 of Hendersonville passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010. A native of Trousdale County, she was born to the late Travis J. and Clara Belcher Price. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Church of Christ since 1937, a lady with a big heart and always a helping hand. Family and friends were the center of her life. She was employed by Harvey's Department Store in Madison, Tennessee as an office worker for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eskel Bennett Jackson; son, Charles Barry Jackson and daughter-in-law, Bonnie; daughter, Betty Claire Wade and son-in-law, William; grandson, Charles Barry Jackson Jr., and a brother, Allen Hooper Price. She is survived by her son, David Jackson Dolores of Chicago, Illinois, grandchildren, Sandi Jackson Lynn Murray of Hendersonville, Jennifer Jonas of Hendersonville, Melissa Hawkins of Hendersonville, David Thomas Wade of Hendersonville, Michael Thomas Jackson of Winston Salem, N.C., Erin Jackson Morris Michael of Memphis; ten great grandchildren; niece, Billie Price Wilson. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Farris officiating. Interment will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens where Michael Thomas Jackson, Chip Wilson, Scott Wilson, Ted Price, Joseph Hawkins, Harold "Trey" Hawkins Jr., Blaine Freeman will serve as pallbearers.
