Margaretta Carney

CARNEY, Margaretta Stinson, Age 67, Has gone home to sing with the angels on Apr. 25, 2007 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Sang gospel music with the James Carney Family. Preceded in death by parents, William Lawrence and Hauttie Mae Sullivan Stinson and brothers, Buford, Roy, Coy, W. L. "Doug" and sisters Lillie Pearl McGinnis, Ruth Cobb and Adele Stinson . Survived by beloved husband James Reeks Carney, sons Lawrence Reeks Sherry and Louis Wade Carney. Grandchildren Elizabeth, Erin, Matthew and Amanda Carney and sisters Gladys Herron, Viola Lampley, Betty Jo Woods, Willa Bea Mangrum, brothers Eugene Stinson and Vess Stinson. Mrs. Carney is at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where service s will be held 2:30 pm Sat. Apr. 28, 2007 with Pastor Thomas Sullivan officiating. Family and friends will serve as pall bearers. Many thanks to Dr. Richard Smith and Dr. William H. Liggett and Skyline Cancer Center. Donations may be made to Willowbrook Hospice, 381 Riverside Dr., Suite 440, Franklin, Tn., 37064. Interment in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be 1 pm till 8 pm Fri. and 10 am till service time on Saturday.
