Louis "Pete" Basham Sr.
Louis "Pete" Basham Sr., age 78 of Hendersonville, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at his residence. He was born to the late William and Pearl Basham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Basham of Hendersonville; son, Louis Basham Jr. of Smyrna; daughters, Kathy Basham of Hendersonville, Linda Porter Charles of Bethpage; grandchildren, Leslie Vest of Hermitage, Alicia Basham of Nashville, Bryant Basham of Greenbrier, Charles Porter III of Bethpage, Allen Porter of Hendersonville; four great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Crowson of Joelton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday, July 16, at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
