Lonnie Raymond Blittle passed away on August 11, 2024, in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Born March 8, 1945, in Springfield, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Arthur Edward Blittle and Thelma Eileen Scarbrough Blittle.  He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle who touched the lives of many with his kind heart and exceptional skills.

Lonnie retired after dedicating 25 years of service to Nissan, where he excelled as an injection molding operator. His commitment and expertise were appreciated by all who worked alongside him. Lonnie was a proud veteran who served his country in the States Army, a role he undertook with honor and dedication.  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Lonnie graduated from Greenbrier High School as a member of the 1965 graduating class.  He was known for his ability to fix anything, whether it was an air conditioning unit or a vehicle. His talent and practical skills left a lasting impression on those around him.

A man of many interests, Lonnie was an avid jogger who prioritized his health and well-being. He took diligent care of himself, embodying a disciplined and health-conscious lifestyle. Additionally, Lonnie held the prestigious title of a 5th degree black belt in karate, a testament to his dedication and perseverance.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Lonnie can attest to his warm and welcoming personality. He had a way of making everyone feel at ease, building connections effortlessly and leaving a positive impact on everyone he encountered. Lonnie's memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Hans Keller, Paul McManaway, and David Haley; sister-in-law Brigitte Knickel; and his beloved dog, Suzie.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marga Claudia Blittle; his devoted daughter Kim Blittle; his sisters Judith Haley and Elizabeth McManaway; his nephews Kevin Dwayne Smith and Larry Christopher Evans; and a host of extended family and friends.

Services to honor and celebrate Lonnie's life will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, starting with a visitation at 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:30 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.  Dr. Brandon Pugh will officate.  Burial and military graveside honors will follow in Hendersonville Memorial Gardens.

Cole & Garrett Funeral Home - Goodlettsville has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Blittle.
