Lisa Gail Gibbs, age 56 of Nashville, passed away on August 15, 2015 at her home.

Lisa was born on November 15, 1958 to Arthur and Betty Lorene Sanders in Nashville, Tennessee. Starting early on in her life, her parents and siblings would vacation every year in Cumberland Mountain State Park. This tradition carried on, even when she met her husband and started to raise their children. It was said that her grandfather, Howard Carney influenced her the most. Growing up with her parents, they created in her a kind heart, gentle spirit with loving, unselfish ways. These characteristics gave her the faith and strength that most only dream of having.

Lisa enjoyed reading, scrapbooking with her daughters, and family time with the grandchildren on "Friday Night Movie Night". She was so excited when she was able to fulfill a dream. She and Mark took a Disney Cruise one year. She tried to talk Mark into buying Castaway Cay for the family. Nothing will ever beat the year the whole family was able to go to Disney. Lisa was so happy to be able to experience it with their grandchildren.

It was told that Lisa will never know the impact she had on so many. Her simple life, loving and caring personality, and the way she held on to her faith, when times got rough, inspired so many. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, devoted mother, daughter, sister, Mimi and friend to so many.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mark Gibbs; daughters Shannon (Matt) Baskin and Shanda (Matt) Hayes; parents, Arthur Hulon and Betty Lorene Sanders; grandchildren, Meredith Hayes, Carter Baskin, Harper Baskin, Aniston Hayes, and Callie Baskin; siblings, Gary (Becky) Sanders, Lori Connor, Joy Sanders; mother-in-law, Frances Brent; brother-in-law Tim Gibbs, numerous nieces and best friend Cathy Manger.

A Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, at 11am in the Chapel of Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville with Rev. Tim Gates officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 17th from 4-8pm then again on Tuesday from 10am until the time of service.
