Linda Summers, 70, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 following a long battle with cancer. Born March 25, 1949 in Springfield, TN, she was the daughter of the late William E. "Yank" Randolph and Stella Ball (Kirby) Randolph. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. She had been married to Lanny Summers for 53 years. They spent their 50th wedding anniversary in Cancun, Mexico celebrating with their entire family. Linda loved her family and any chance to spend time with them. She loved to cook and was very accomplished at it. She also loved her flower gardens, red birds, the beach and travelling. She was the "queen" of her family and had a strong influence on her grandchildren over the years. Although she endured a 7 year battle with cancer she never became a complainer. Her positive outlook, spirit in the fight and constantly giving glory to God saw her persevere with dignity and grace. Linda is survived by her husband, Lanny; her daughter, Lana (Lee) Murphy; her son, Shane (Sonja) Summers; and her grandchildren, Chance Summers, Paige Summers and Lexie Murphy. Visitation will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home White House, Tuesday from 2 - 8 PM and Wednesday from 12 - 2 PM. A celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday at 2 PM followed by interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes www.stjude.org
