Lavelle Smith

Lavelle Martin Smith. Age 84 years, passed away March 19, 2014. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a life long member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ben H. Smith; sister, Estelle Baker; brother, William Martin. Survived by children, Joyce (Robert) Minchey, Nancy (Ronnie) Temple, Rhonda Brown; Kenneth Smith; grandchildren, Mary (Blake) Herron, Beverly (Jeremy) Jorgason, Amanda (Mike) Jones, Ronnie Temple, Jr., Benjermin Smith, Page Smith, Samuel Brown and John Brown; sisters, Genelle Dodd, Marie Stephens, Helen Swan; brothers, Royce Martin and Charles Martin; sister-in-laws, Frances Pendarvis and Mainell Moss Abel . Funeral services will be on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 12 noon at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Edwards and Rev. Royce Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Liberty, TN. Nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Alive Hospice.
