Laura Watkins

Laura Ruth Watkins, age 75 of Westmoreland, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008. A native of Westmoreland, she was born to the late Dennis Summers and Susie Dickerson Arterburn. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Summers. Mrs. Watkins was a member of the Westmoreland Church of Christ, A loving wife of 57 years and a devoted mother. She is survived by her husband; William "Billy" Watkins of Westmoreland, Daughters; Debbie Chadick Aaron of Portland, Teresa Templeton Randell of Westmoreland, Denise Williams Mike of Westmoreland, sister; Elizabeth Ann Louderback of Lebanon, half-brother, Ricky Arterburn, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Gallatin Funeral Home with Bro. Guthrie Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Chris Pedigo, Stephen Templeton, Scott Shrum, Colby Williams, Daniel Lambert, Eddie Spangler, and Blake Adams will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 24, from 4:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M., Monday from 8:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M., and on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time.
