Kirsten Whicker

Kirsten Ashley Whicker, age 12 of Hendersonville. Born on February 21, 1997 passed away at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital on February 7, 2010. Kirsten will be forever missed in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her. She was our special angel from God. She is survived by her mother, Karrie Cummings; father, Joel Whicker; step-father, Donny Cummings; step-mother, Stacie Whicker; sister, Evan Whicker; grandparents, Sandra and Ashley Ratliff of Matthews, N.C. and Dr. Lawrence and Margaret Whicker of Weddington, N.C. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. on Wednesday February 10 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. on Thursday February 11, 2010 from the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. Interment will be in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank the Fire and Rescue Paramedics of the Hendersonville Fire Department, the E. R. Staff at Hendersonville Medical Center, the Nurses at Tennessee Pediatrics, the Vanderbilt Life Flight Crew and Dr. Steve Johnson who worked so hard to revive Kirsten.
