Killian Frey III “Buddy”, stepped into the presence of our Lord on March 9, 2025. He was born in Nashville, TN on August 24, 1939.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Sherry Thomas Frey; son, Kyle Thaxton Frey; sister, Janie Sanders’ grandchild, Thaxton “Ty” Frey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Billie Ruth Frey-Walker and Bud Frey, Jr. and Killian “Bud” Frey IV.
Buddy was a graduate of Goodlettsville High School, class of 1957. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University. He began his teaching career of 42 years at Portland Junior High and 2 years at White House High School where he coached football and girls basketball.
Buddy loved his horses and enjoyed trail riding with many of his friends.
Outside of his teaching career, Buddy managed Blue Grass Country Club Pool, Richland Country Club Pool, and Pleasant Green in Goodlettsville.
His favorite past time was watching his grandson, Ty, playing baseball as well as taking care of his horses.
Buddy was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
Pallbearers will be, Danny Bridges, Don Curry, Dale Wix, Dale Sprouse, Bob Mingle, and George Russell.
A celebration of life will held on Tuesday, March 18th at 1pm with visitation two hours prior to the service. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
