Kathy Temple

TEMPLE, Kathy Smith Malinoski -Age 53 years, passed from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Kathy was a graduate of Hillwood High School. She received her nursing degree from St. Thomas Medical School, and was currently employed with Family Staffing Solutions. She was a lifelong member of the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and various ministries with the church. She loved Nascar, and the beach where she always said "She felt the closest to God". Preceded in death by father, Forrest Smith; grandparents, Rufus and Jewell Parker. Kathy is survived by her husband, Ricky Temple; children, Stacey Malinoski; Ricky Amanda Temple, Jr., and Whitney Shannon Davidson; grandchildren, Macie Malinoski and Raegan Temple; her mother, Dene Smith; sister, Teresa Martin; brother, Donald Vikki Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Life Celebration services for Kathy will be on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 12noon, at the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rickey Page officiating. Interment will be in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Nashville Humane Society. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday from 4-8PM, at West Harpeth Funeral Home, and on Thursday from 11am-service time at the church.
