Joyce Holt

Ms. Joyce Ann Holt, age 84, of Portland, passed away on April 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hendersonville, TN on July 31, 1938 to the late James Oscar and Lillie Mai Hardaway. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lee Holt, Sr.; daughter, Pamela Joyce Kimbrell; twin brother, James Allen Hardaway; sisters, Ruby Nash, Edna Hosale, Vera Hallett, Margie Broemsen.

Joyce enjoyed playing BINGO, going fishing and spending time with her family. To her family, she was known as “Granny.” She enjoyed living life to the fullest and having fun.

Joyce is survived by, children, Howard Lee Holt, Jr. (Penny), Ronnie Lee Holt, Howard Eugene Holt, Patricia Ann Holt, Wanda Jane Boshers (Terry), Richard Keith Holt, and Vera Dale Quaranda (Rick); 16 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren.

A life celebration will be held at 12pm, Thursday, April 13th in the chapel of Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville with burial at Beech Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 4-8pm and again from 10am-12pm on Thursday prior to the service.
