John Marrison

MARRISON, TSgt. USAF Ret., John Wesley, of Hermitage went to be with his lord, Jesus Christ on February 21, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born on September 15, 1929, at Eagle Creek, Tennessee. Preceded in death be his wife of 43 years, Inga Marrison, by his parents, James W. Marrison, Sr. and Edith Adams Marrison and grandparents, Will Marrison and Jeanette Marrison. Survived by son Ralph Natalie Marrison, Gallatin and daughter Lorraine Scott Macmillan, Pittsburg, Pa., brothers James W. Marrison, Jr., Nashville and William A. Marrison, York, PA., grandchildren Ryan, Sarah and Rachel. He was devoted a father and husband. He was a member of Celebration Lutheran Church, Mt. Juliet. Everyone loved his gentle manner and dry sense of humor. He will be missed by many. He was a graduate of Morgan Prep School, Petersburg, TN. He was a WWII veteran, retired from the U.S. Air Force. Visitation will be from 4pm til 8pm Thursday, February 23, and 9am til 10:30am Friday, February 24, at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Services will be conducted 10:30am at Hendersonville Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry May officiating. Interment will be 11am, Monday, February 27, at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice 1718 Patterson Street; Nashville, TN 37203.
