John Carpenter

John L. Carpenter, October 19, 2019 age 100 of Greenbrier. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Bowers Carpenter. Survived by his children, Sandra Kurtz, John (Betty) Carpenter, and Bobby (Wanda) Carpenter; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Claude (Martha) Carpenter, and sister Frances Brent. Mr. Carpenter was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII. He was also a charter member of the Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene. A celebration of his life will be on Wednesday October 23, 2019 at 11 am at Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene with visitation from 9:30 am until service time. Interment with military honors will be at Middle TN Veteran's Cemetery at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Adoration Hospice or Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Carpenter, David Carpenter, Jonathan Carpenter, Mark Gibbs, Gary Sanders, Luke Carpenter, Rowan Carpenter, Sutton Carpenter, Noble Carpenter, and Travis Uncapher.
