Joe Bertoldo, age 84 of Gallatin, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at his home. He was born to the late Lalo and Albina Bertoldo. Mr. Bertoldo served his country proudly in the United States Army as a Green Beret during World War II and the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Joey Bertoldo Sr., and Allen Bertoldo; brother, David Bertoldo; sisters, Mary Bustamente, Lupe Lopez, and Annie Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Camilla Bertoldo of Gallatin; son, Steven Bertoldo Diane of Hendersonville; daughter, Debi Turner Les of Gallatin; grandchildren, Joey Bertoldo Jr., Stephanie Martinez, Amber Bertoldo, Alexis Bertoldo, Athena Bertoldo, Cody Turner, Justin Turner; and four great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Gallatin Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Poole and Dr. Wade Powers officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with military honors. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. until service time.
