Jennifer Michelle Tasber

Jennifer “Chelle” Michelle Tasber, born on July 20, 1973, passed on September 2, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Known for her infectious sense of humor, Chelle’s joy to the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Chelle was a passionate individual who found immense joy in the simple things in life. She had a great love for all animals. An avid reader, she immersed herself in books that transported her to new worlds. On visits to Washington, she cherished the moments spent sitting by the ocean, enjoying the serene beauty and creating lasting memories with her son, Caleb. Chelle also enjoyed spending time with her family in Monterey and loved watching her daughter, Brie, play volleyball.

Her love for miniature golf was matched only by the pride she felt for her family. Chelle's greatest accomplishments were found in her children and her beloved grandson, Micah Fjortoft, who affectionately called her "Nana Chelle." Her husband of almost 27 years, Michael Tasber, and her children, Brianna Tasber and Caleb Smith, 

Chelle is survived by her parents, Jerry Smith and stepmother Tenna Smith, along with her mother, Frances Rayburn. She is also remembered fondly by her brother, Jerry Smith, affectionately known as "Bubba."

Though Chelle's physical presence will be missed, her laughter and love will resonate in the hearts of those she touched, creating a beautiful tapestry of memories that will endure through time. Chelle was loving wife, mom, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend that will be deeply missed.
