HICKS, Jennifer Boenau of Nashville, TN transitioned to her new life with the Father and Son on May 25, 2010. She is survived by her husband of 20 yrs, Ken; sisters, Janice Walker of Cadiz, KY, Jill Smith David of Charlotte, TN, and Jacque Mostafa Dr. Mahmoud of Columbia, SC; sisters-in-laws, Annette Stewart of Montgomery, AL, Cynthia Hirshey of Joplin, MO; stepmother, Faith Boenau of Clarksville, TN; nephews, Jason Walker, currently serving in Afghanistan, Bryan Hamilton of Danbury, CT, Kyle Hamilton of Norwalk, CT, James David of Prattville, AL; nieces, Jody Wilson of Cadiz, KY, Amy Serrano of Bowling Green, KY, Laura Wesley of Montgomery, AL, Shannon Harris of Joplin, MO. Jennifer was born at Ft. Campbell, KY on December 21, 1956. She grew up in Clarksville, TN and received a nursing degree from Austin Peay State University. She took a position with Baptist Hospital where she worked for many years. Her first love was taking care of "her" babies in the Special Care Nursery. She was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ. Her request was for donations to be made to Baptist Hospital, Special Care Nursery 2000 Church St., Nashville, TN, 37236 or Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 239, Burns, TN, 37029. "IN THIS WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE. BUT TAKE HEART! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD." JESUS CHRIST, John 16:33. Funeral service will be 1:00p.m Friday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at HARPETH HILLS FUNERAL HOME, 9090 HWY 100, 646-9292 www.harpethhills.com.
