Jeff Brawley

BRAWLEY, Jeffery Howard-June 15, 1966-June 28, 2006
Jeff passed into the loving arms of Jesus Christ, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was a man of God whose faith inspired those around him. His smile and the twinkle in his eyes will never be forgotten. Throughout his short but influential life, he held fast to his personal faith in Christ and the love of his family and friends. He was gifted with a sense of humor that brightened the lives of all he met.
Jeff Brawley was born and raised in Dalton, GA. He graduated as an honor student from Northwest High School in 1984. In 1988, he graduated from North Georgia College with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Jeff's professional sales career has spanned the country, from California to Tennessee. He was a gifted communicator and had a keen understanding of sales and growth strategies. He was employed by Southeast Telecom as Maintenance Administrator. He was also an active member of Holy Trinity Community Church, UCC. He participated in worship, outreach and social events. Last year, Jeff gave of his time and carpentry skills for a Habitat for Humanity Build. He will be greatly missed by a host of co-workers, employees, friends and family members.
Jeff is predeceased by maternal grandparents, Stan and Ann Howard, from Dalton, GA; paternal grandparents, Jack and Lena Brawley, of Lenoir, NC. He is survived by his partner of nine years, David Provenzano; his parents, Jim and Joy Brawley, of Dalton, GA; his sister, Laura B. Allgood, also of Dalton; a half brother, Terry Brawley, of Morganton, NC; aunts and uncles, Hal and Helen Klinge, of Pompano Beach, FL and Wayne and Jerri Pipes of Lenoir, NC. He also has many nieces and nephews, whom he loved.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 1, 2006 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100, with a celebration of Jeff's life and faith to follow officiated by the Rev. Cynthia Andrews-Looper. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. www.cancer.org
