Janice Howell

Howell, Janice Rhea Age 73 of Nashville, TN passed away April 17, 2014 at McKendree Healthcare Center in Hermitage, TN after complications from treatment for cancer of the bile duct. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Jenny Griffin and Jamie Griffin Webb; her parents, Theda Luther Howell and Homer Charlton Howell all of Nashville, TN. She is survived by brothers Michael W. Howell of Branson, MO and Ronald L. Howell (Jill Sterling Howell) of Brentwood, TN; five nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. Ms. Howell was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and her fun loving "Bunko Gals". She was also a member the Isaac Litton High School class of 1958. She retired from DuPont in Old Hickory, TN after more than 30 years with the company. Ms Howell is remembered most by her family and many friends for her strong spirit and as a loving mother and friend who was always there with a helping hand for those in need. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17 from 9:00 a.m. �- 10:00 a.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville, TN. A memorial service celebrating Ms. Howell's life will follow immediately after visitation. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Nashville Humane Association.
