Jane Garrett

Jane Maddux Garrett, age 91 of Nashville, passed away November 10, 2020. She was born in Nashville, TN on November 21, 1928 to the late Frank G Maddux and Grace Hutchinson Maddux. She was a graduate of Issac Litton High School class of 1947, where she was the Nashville High School basketball player of the year her junior and senior year. In February 1951, she married her husband, James Garrett, Jr. Jane was a championship golfer, and won several tournaments in Georgia and Tennessee throughout the 1970s and 1980s. She is survived by her husband, James Garrett, Jr., her sons, Jay Garrett of Nashville, and Jon (Tracey) Garrett of New Orleans, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to City Road United Methodist Church.
