TAYMON, James Grant age 79 of Madison was born August 13, 1928 and passed away Friday, April 4, 2008. Mr. Taymon was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church and the Inglewood VFW Post 82.
Mr. Taymon was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Carrie Taymon. He is survived by his wife, Camilla Taymon of Madison; brother, William E. Taymon Jr. and wife Mabel of Katy, TX; sister, Margaret Newton and husband Vic of Nashville; special cousin Liddy Tosh and husband Johnny; additional family, Sue Patrick-Shears of Taylorsville, IL, Adam Patrick of Springfield, IL, Alice and Tommy Tatum, Desiree and Rob Cardwell, and Lisa and Jon Selim, all of Greenbrier, and Mike Bettle of Sioux Falls, SD.
The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm Sunday at the Hendersonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Monday in the chapel of the Hendersonville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Luther and Chaplain Linda Bray officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Graveside services will be conducted at 10am Tuesday in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rob Cardwell, Jon Selim, Randy East, Fred Bracey, Hal Balthrop, Richard Davis, Charles Cardwell and Jimmy Pomeroy. Honorary Pallbearers are all the employees of Metro Water Works and the members of the Bracey Sunday School Class.
