James Jones

Born in Maury County, TN on April 13, 1930 Departed on January 30, 2007 and resided in Hendersonville, TN

James served in the US Army, 3rd Infantry, 27th Division Elite Wolfhounds during the Korean Conflict where he received five bronze stars and was awarded a purple heart. "Good Jelly" retired from AVCO in 1997 with 44 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents Betty Jane Lunn and Dock Edwin Jones along with his three brothers and sister. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan Denson Jones; sons, Rickie Lee Jones and wife Delores Ann, Edward Earl Jones and wife Tammie Lynne; grandchildren, Edward Earl Jones II and wife Jennifer, James Julius Jay Jones, Heather LeeAnn Jones and Connie JoAnna Jones. He is also survived by sisters Evelyn Hardison and Peggy Hall both of Spring Hill, TN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm, and Thursday, February 1, 11am until 1pm, at Hendersonville Funeral Home. The funeral services will be on Thursday, February 1, at 1pm with Rev. Lynn Hinkle officiating at Hendersonville Funeral Home Chapel. Active pallbearers, Edward Jones II, Jay Jones, Jimmy Prince, Randy Hall, Ronald Jones and Danny Denson. Interment will be at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
