James Ronald Stewart, age 63 of Gallatin, TN passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Mr. Stewart was born March 5, 1948 in Detroit, MI to James Clyde and Pauline Self Stewart. He was a graduate of Isaac Litton High School where he was a member of the Marching 100. A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served as a pararescueman in Vietnam from 1967 to 1973. He was also a renowned horse trainer. He was preceded in death by his father, James; and sister, Cheryl. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ginger Stewart; daughters, Karen Eric Brinkley and Shanna Denim Stewart; his mother, Pauline Stewart; grandsons, Jonathan and Christopher Brinkley; five brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews. A Life Celebration service will be conducted at 1 PM, Saturday, May 28, 2011 from the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Gilmore officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM, Friday and from 11 AM until 12:45 PM, Saturday, at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
