PERRY, James "Jim"- Age 76, Nashville, March 21, 2012. Born on August 19, 1935 at Poplar Creek in Nashville, he was the eldest son of the late Paul and Bessie Harrison Perry. Jim served in the United States Air Force as a radar technician in Charleston, West Virginia prior to becoming a Bowling Machine Service Representative for American Machines Foundry AMF. He enjoyed his work and later developed his own company, Bowling Machine Equipment Services. He had a great love of God and family and friends and enjoyed helping others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Thompson Perry and two sisters, Nancy Tidwell and Elizabeth "Betty" McCollum. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sharon Perry; daughter, Kimberly Masengill Chris; step-daughters, Laura Aldridge and Sherry White; grandchildren, Phillip Masengill, II and Matthew Masengill; brothers, Mack Perry Kathy of Fairview and Ray Perry Jean of Fayetteville; sister Linda Phelps of South Nashville; and a host of family and friends. His life celebration service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
