HAVRON, James Tyre, age 78 of Nashville passed away August 5, 2010. Mr. Havron graduated from Duncan Preparatory School. He was a Korean War Veteran who attended Vanderbilt University, David Lipscomb College and graduated from Cumberland School of Law. He practiced law in Nashville for over 50 years. He served for 13 years as the Metropolitan-Davidson County Public Defender and helped the office grow into a major part of the government. He was a true Southern Gentleman who loved life, loved his children, and never met a stranger. Mr. Havron was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Bright Havron. Survivors include his wife, Jane Dement McKelley; daughter, Janet Havron Robert Pasinger; sons, James Tyre Roseanne Havron, Jr., Robert William Lisa Havron, and Douglas Burt Coreen Havron; daughters, Jessica Rosalie McKelley-Havron and Kathleen Jane McKelley-Havron; 6 grandchildren; father, James C. Havron; and sister, Margaret J. Havron. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, August 9th at 10:00 A.M. from Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME, 6962 Charlotte Pike, 615352-9400
