GANN, James Bostick, Age 82, died June 7, 2008 in his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Winfield, AL, James moved to Nashville in 1947 after serving in the Navy in World War II. Soon after, he married Virginia Earle of Depoy, KY, and had six children over the course of the next 15 years. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Robert died 1961 and Richard died 1977 He is survived by Virginia and four of his children: Myra Gann, of Nashville, Linda Delimata, of Sterling, IL, James Gregory Gann, of Kingston Springs, TN, and Mary Elizabeth Sneed, of Kingston Springs. He also leaves ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one brother, and five sisters. James spent most of his professional life in the business of vinyl record manufacturing, founding and heading Dixie Record Pressing, Inc. in Nashville, where he worked until his retirement in 1999. The funeral service will be at 11 am, Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in the James' name to Alive Hospice of Nashville. Visitation will be Monday, 4-8 pm and Tuesday, 9:30 am until time of service at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME 6962 Charlotte Pk 615 352-9400
