James Mark Frazier

September 6, 1941 — December 17, 2023

James Mark Frazier, 82, of Houston, Texas (formerly of the Nashville area) died December 17, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.  Born September 6, 1941, in Sumner County, he was the son of the late John B. Frazier and Velma M Tidwell Frazier.

James was a graduate of Hendersonville High School and received his degree in civil engineering at UT Knoxville. After years of employment with the State of Tennessee, Boeing Aerospace and the City of Houston, he was able to retire early, focusing on his many hobbies and engaging with friends at the Delta and Belair clubs in Houston.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, JB Frazier, and Charles Frazier and sister Betty Jo McKinney.

He is survived by sister, Mary Sue Hughes of Cary, North Carolina; nieces and nephews Greg Hughes of Cary, North Carolina, Darlene (David) Garvey of White Bluff, Tennessee, Tommy (Marilyn) Kemper of Cane, Ridge, Tennessee, and Velma (Rusty) Edwards of Nashville Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at Cole And Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville Tennessee Saturday, December 23 at 12 pm noon.  The family will welcome friends and visitors from 11am until the 12pm service time. Burial will follow at the Frazier Cemetery located on Long Hollow Pike.
