James Franklin Mason, the beloved owner and operator of A-All American Appliance Repair, has passed away at the age of 82. Born on September 15, 1941, James lived a life filled with dedication and passion for his work and family. His passing on November 28, 2023 has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
James's journey began in Cedar Hill, Tennessee, where he was raised by his loving parents, Leslie Miles Mason and Eudera Bibee Mason. He was the youngest among his seven siblings. Family was always at the center of James's life, and he carried this value with him throughout his entire existence.
After completing many training schools in the military, including combat medic, mechanic, and electrician certification, James proudly served in the Army for nine years. His devotion to his country was evident as he selflessly dedicated his time and skills to protecting others. He embodied honor and integrity in everything he did.
Outside of his military service, James excelled as an entrepreneur. As the owner and operator of A-All American Appliance Repair, he demonstrated exceptional expertise in his craft. Countless individuals have benefited from James's skillful repairs over the years, relying on him to solve their appliance problems with precision. His professionalism and commitment to excellence set him apart from others in the industry.
James was also a Lay Speaker in Cumberland District of the United Methodist Church.
While accomplishments in one's career are noteworthy, James's proudest achievements centered around his role as a devoted father and grandfather. Known affectionately as "Peepaw," he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
James shared 47 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife Alicia Faye Mason. Together they built a strong foundation of love and support that became a source of inspiration for all who knew them. Their bond served as an unwavering symbol of commitment and devotion.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his children, Diana Marie Rios, James Christopher Mason (Leah Beth), Tsarina Mason Severing (Jason), and Ray Miles Mason. Their love and respect for their father are immeasurable. James's legacy of love extends further through his grandchildren, Wendy Carris (Michael), JD Blittle, Ross Traughber (Chelsey), Emily Callis (Drake), Madeline Severing, Sarah Kathryn Mason, Miles Severing, John Franklin Mason, and Hannah Mae Mason; and seven great-grandchildren who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Eva Elizabeth Blittle.
To honor James Franklin Mason's remarkable life, a visitation will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville on November 30, 2023. The visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, giving friends and loved ones an opportunity to pay their respects.
Following the visitation, there will be a Celebration of Life ceremony at the same location at 7:00 PM. This gathering aims to commemorate James's exceptional life and the indelible mark he left on all who crossed his path.
James Franklin Mason touched countless lives throughout his journey. He was a man of unwavering strength and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. His legacy will continue to inspire all who remember him fondly. As we mourn his loss, let us also rejoice in the incredible impact he made during his time with us. Rest peacefully, dear James, knowing that your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
