Dixon, James E. Sr., age 79 of Hendersonville, Saturday April 1, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Irene Dixon, son; James E. Dixon, Jr. of Hendersonville, granddaughter; Jennifer Dixon Weaver Rodney, great grandchildren; Ben and Charlie Weaver all of Florence, S.C., sister Grace Black of Castle Rock, Col., half brother; Paul Richard Dixon and half sister; Loretta White.
Mr. Dixon's family will receive friends from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. Monday April 3 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday April 4 from the Hendersonville Church of God with Pastor Gary Stacey officiating. Entombment will be in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In Lieu of flowers the family request that Memorial Donations be made to Alive Hospice or to the Hendersonville Church of God.
