Jacqueline Lynn Dever

Jacqueline Lynn Dever, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 18th, 2023 in Nashville, TN. She was born on January 22nd, 1956 in Gallatin, TN.

Jackie led a remarkable life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. One of her greatest passions was cooking, and she was known for her delicious dishes such as meatloaf, beans, and taters. 

Above all else, Jackie took immense pride in being a loving "Nana" to her granddaughter Courtney and adopted granddaughter, Amber. She showered Courtney with affection and created countless treasured memories with her.

Jackie is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Mr. Joe Dever. She also leaves behind her daughters Katrina (Stephen) Foote and Kristie Lucas. Jacqueline was a pillar of strength for her daughters throughout their lives. Her guidance and unconditional love shaped them into the remarkable women they are today.
Jacqueline was a long time member of Hendersonville Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her immediate family, Jacqueline is preceded in death by her sister Sandra Freidli.

She will also be fondly remembered by her sisters, Peggy Barnes and Fredika Weakley. The sisters shared a lifetime of memories filled with laughter and support.

Jackie's extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who adored their Aunt. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family and touched the lives of others in beautiful ways.

You could always find Jackie, with her faithful service dog, Bella.

To honor Jackie's life and share cherished memories together, visitation services will take place at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services - White House in White House, TN. The first visitation will be held on August 21st, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The second visitation will take place on August 22nd, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

A Celebration of Life service will follow the second visitation on August 22nd at 11:00 AM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services - White House. This ceremony will honor Jackie's vibrant spirit and the impact she had on all those who knew her.

Jackie will be laid to rest at the White House Memorial Gardens in White House, TN. A burial service will be conducted on August 22nd, 2023, at 12:00 PM.

Jacqueline Lynn Dever's presence touched the lives of many. Her kindness, love, and culinary skills will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we grieve her loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and cherish the memories she has left behind. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
