Jackie R. Bush

Jackie R. Bush, 77, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.  Born August 23, 1946, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Leonadous “Jack” Jackson and Myrtle Stevens Jackson.

Jackie retired from Metro Nashville Public Schools where she was a cafeteria manager for twenty years.  She had also worked at Vanco Manor in Goodlettsville where she was manager for housekeeping.  She was a loyal wife and loving mother who always made sure her family had something to eat and clothes on their back.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Johnnie Bush; daughter Sandra Cook; son Jesse Bush; sisters Mary Ann Adkins and Lisa Connelly.

She is survived by her children John (Kim) Bush, Ruthie Dillon and Jimmy Bush; sister Lucille Raines; brothers Howard Jackson and Lloyd “Bud” (Melinda) Eakes; 5 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and her fur baby, Mickey.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 17, from 2pm until 8pm at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville.   Visitation will continue on Monday, March 18, from 10am until 2pm.  A Celebration of Jackie’s life will follow at 2pm and be lead by Pastor Greg Young.   Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville.  Pallbearers will be James David Dillon, Austin Elrod, Matthew Williamson, Daniel Stevens, Jason Adkins, Colton Cook, Hayden Spain, and Christian Spain.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxson Cook and Jonah Dillon.
