Ila Ethridge

Ethridge, Ila, passed away May 7, 2011 at the age of 65. She was the daughter of the late William Thomas Ethridge. She is also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Ray Hudgins and sister, Little Nellie Kelley Ethridge. She is survived by mother, Katherine Marie Ethridge Watts; children, Jimmy Joe Hudgins Therisa, Carol Hudgins, Tammy Marie Hudgins, Krystal Michelle Hudgins, Jeffery Hudgins Christie, and Brody; siblings, James Ethridge, Mary Ethridge, Joann Ethridge, and Brenda Donald; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Ila, lovingly known as Esther by her family had a strong independent spirit. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved gardening and cooking. She never met a stranger and would give her shirt off her back to someone if she thought they needed it. She touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew her.
