Mr. Homer Leroy Sharar, Age 69 of Cottontown, TN passed away Wednesday evening, January 7, 2015 at his residence.
Homer was born November 22, 1945 in Naples, Italy to parents, Elmer Leroy Sharar and Annette Matire Sharar.
He is survived by is wife, Janice Sharar; daughter, Donna McCord, son, Danny Edwards, daughter, Diana (Jerry) Hunter; five grandchildren, Austin Felts, Paige Felts, Kristen Hunter, Meagan Hunter, Cody Lamberth; four great-grandchildren, Abby Boyd, Lydia Felts, Damien Felts, Samantha Phillips; brother, Gary (Linda) Sharar; nieces, Amy Marshall, Debbie Dixon, Melissa Sharar; great-nieces, Ariel Dixon, Joelle Peacock; and his faithful carin terrier companion, Baby Zoe.
Homer was a volunteer at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in the Cancer Infusion Center where he made crafts which children of different ages could put together. Homer loved children and he really loved doing this for them.
A Celebration of Homer's life will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 9th, 2015 at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Ron Lowery officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 9th from 1:00 p.m. until the service at 7:00 p.m.
