GOOLSBY, Herman Dean –
Age 78 of Brentwood, TN. Passed away on September 4, 2013. He was born on September 12, 1934 in Altus, OK. He is survived by his wife, Bertha L. Goolsby, his son, Tommy D. Goolsby Pauline of Albuquerque, NM, daughters Diana Waddell Richard of Seattle, WA, and Cindy Roadman Ross of Brentwood, TN, and granddaughters Lauren and Cami Roadman. He is also survived by sisters Joyce Gipson Calvin of Altus, OK, Carolyn Clifford of Blair, OK, Vanita Elliot of Blair, OK., sister-in-law Katherine Goolsby of San Antonio, TX, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Bessie and George Tracy Goolsby, his brothers George Tracy Goolsby, Jr., and Thurman Goolsby, his sister, Audrey Wiese, and his grandson, Connor Dean Roadman.
Herman spent his childhood in Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army as a Radio Operator in Korea, and then spent many years living in El Paso, TX. He retired as General Superintendent with The Banes Company in El Paso, TX. He moved to Brentwood, TN in 2006.
Visitation will be at 1pm on Saturday, September 7, with a funeral service at 2pm. Services will be held at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens and Funeral Home located at 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN, 615646-9292. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The Alzheimer's Association, 4825 Trousdale Dr., Suite 220, Nashville, TN, 37220, ALZ.org, or the Michael J.
