Herbert Dunavant, Jr.

DUNAVANT, Herbert C., Jr. age 77 of Nashville, passed away July 2, 2010. Mr. Dunavant was a member of the Masonic lodge; a dedicated and dependable employee of Nashville Sporting Goods for 20 years; he will be sadly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Margaret Dunavant, Sr.; wives, Mary Woodside and Francis Dunavant; daughter, Vicky M. Skinner, and granddaughter, Mary Beth Skinner. Survivors include his son, Gene Faye Dunavant; sister, Mary McDerman; brother, Howard Dunavant; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends, The Bolton Family. Active pallbearers will be Chuck Bolton, Tyler Bolton, Roy E. Skinner, Roy Skinner, Bob Butler, and Joe Bingham. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 6th at 10:00 A.M. from West Harpeth Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary Rickman and Rev. Mike Overcash officiating. Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday from 12-8 P.M. at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME, 6962 Charlotte Pike, 615352-9400
