Henry Hall, Jr.

Henry Ragan Hall, Jr. was call home to Jesus August 1, 2021.  He was born August 16, 1933 to a Loving father and mother, Ragan Hall, Sr. and Bonnie Clemons Hall, in Davidson County TN.

In 1953, in New Mexico, Ragan met and married the Love of his Life, Joan Marie Callahan.  Ragan was lovingly nicknamed “Hank” by his Father-in-Law, D.J. Callahan.  They spent 62 years together and raised five children.  Two sons, Ragan Hall and John D. Hall.  Three Daughters, Deborah L Hall Blassl, Candy L. Hall Parker and Dawn E. Hall Milan. Nine Grand Children and Nine Great Grand Children.  Many Friends were gathered over his life, to name a few – Danny & Jan Martin, Roy Turner, Joe Hickle and his life companion Kathyrn Turner.  Kathyrn proved to be the Best Friend a Man could have ever prayed for in his final stage of life.  She made it possible for Ragan to live his life until the end on the land in which he loved so much.  The Hall family will never be able to extend the gratitude we sincerely feel for you.  You are the final gift he left behind, for his Family.

Ragan Served his country in the United States Marine Corp and U.S Air Force.  During his military career he served in Korea, Japan, French Indonesia, China, North Africa, Azores along with many other places.

After his military service he owned several Successful small businesses and worked in law enforcement.  At one time he served as Chief of Police and in 1972 the Nashville Banner News Paper had a story and picture of him telling the story of his law enforcement duties and about him being a Legend in his own time.

Ragan was an Honorable Kentucky Colonel and a Tennessee Colonel as well as being a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, The American Legion, a past member of the Sertoma Club International-at-Large, He held President Position for The Lions Club, as well as a longtime member.

Ragan Loved God, his Family and his Country. He did the very best he knew how, to serve each of them.  Ragan was an avid outdoorsman who loved all thing God created.  Ragan served as a Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church, that is where he and his bride for 62 years were their happiest.

Visitation for Ragan will be held Wednesday from 10 AM until 12 Noon at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN. A Life Celebration Service will be held at noon followed by interment with military honors at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
