Helen Martillie Jones, age 61 of Goodlettsville, passed away on September 7, 2015.

Ms. Jones was born on May 13, 1954 to Mr. J.O. and Mary W. Jones.

Ms. Jones devoted the last several years of her life to the care of her parents. A gracious hostess, she enjoyed entertaining, cooking, home décor, and gardening. She opened up her home frequently to friends and colleagues. Ms. Jones had a gift for photography and she loved to read. She never met a stranger and made immediate friends. Her daughters described her as generous, loyal, big-hearted, and vivacious. Ms. Jones loved to travel to southern beaches and music concerts. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her brother James Russell Jones.

Along with her parents she is survived by her daughters, April T. Bradley and Jennifer Martillie Bradley and husband, Benjamin Wilburn; brother, Kenneth Hellie Jones and wife, Lynda Jones and grandson, Henry Shea Sinclair.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 12 at 12:00pm with Reverend Tim Rayburn officiating in the Chapel of Cole & Garrett Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Nashville Humane Society, 213 Oceola Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209.
