George A. Reynolds, Jr., age 79, born July 29, 1934, passed away December 25, 2013, with his wife of 46 years, Ann Mays Reynolds by his side. Other survivors include son, George A. Reynolds, III, Greenville, SC; sister, Betty (Reynolds) Kilmer, Nashville; brothers-in-law, James Mays (Norma); Bob Mays (Margo) and Houston L. Mays (Glenda); Bruce Kilmer, Collierville, TN; nieces and nephews.
Mr. Reynolds was a Hillsboro High School and George Peabody College graduate. He served in the U.S. Air Force, Tennessee Air National Guard, 118th Medical Group and was also Industrial Development Commissioner for the State of Tennessee, and insturmental in seeking and establishing new factories and other businesses in several small middle Tennessee counties. Mr. Reynolds served as Education Officer for the State Game & Fish Commission; Water & Safety Division and the Hunter Safety Program.
His primary career of over 40 years was spent as TV Engineer at Nashville's NBC affiliate, WSMV-TV Channel 4. He loved his extended church family at Woodmont Baptist Church and appreciated their support during his 19 year struggle with heart problems. Mr. Reynolds' hobbies included scuba diving, windjamming, glider flying, photography, antique cars, and big game hunting. He was an award-winning marksman, with hand guns as his weapon of choice for wild boar.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lottie Moon Missions @ Woodmont Baptist Church, 2100 Woodmont Blvd., Nashville, TN 37215. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 29th, from 2-4PM. Service Monday at 11AM, with visitation 1 hr. prior to service.
