Freddie Lewis Reding, 76, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at NHC Sumner Place.
Born in Nashville on October 23, 1945, Freddie was the son of the late Charlie Reding and Mamie Jane Reding (Binion). He was the eighth of ten children and grew up in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. He worked most of his life at and retired from Nashville Electrographics Company (NEC), a printing company.
Freddie never met a stranger. He loved to meet new people and could tell the best stories, often with so many twists and turns you forget where you first started. You never had to guess where you stood with Freddie. He was one of the most genuine and honest people you would ever meet. A devout Christian who lived by Christ’s word, he would gladly share the shirt off his back to those in need.
Freddie grew up on a farm in Goodlettsville, Tennessee and continued to tend to a sizable garden until late in life. He shared his love of gardening with his children who were often seen riding on (or behind) the tractor with him throughout their childhood. Freddie was always generous to friends and family with the bountiful crops he raised year after year. His love of gardening also extended to his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee where he was known for his prized rose bushes and meticulous landscaping.
Freddie was a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother. He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Barbara Reding, and his two children, Nancy Reding and Michael Reding (Jason). He is also survived by two full and three half-siblings.
