Fred Maddux Sr., May 14, 2014, age 75 of Goodlettsville. Formerly of Clarksville, TN. He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Maddux; daughters, Kristin Maddux, and Lora Lynn Henslee. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Micki Maddux; children, Fred Maddux, Jr., Erin (Michael) Brake, Dwayne Maddux-Brown; mother, Mae Maddux; sister, Janet (Joe) Sloan; brother, Jim Maddux; grandchildren, Marcus Henslee, Travis Shorter, Alexander Maddux, Ryan Shorter, Kristopher Maddux, Austin Maddux; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Isabel Maddux. Fred was a founder of the Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf, Big Spring, TX. He worked for many years in sales where he received many awards. Fred loved the rodeo, car racing, reading, spending time with his family, mostly his grandchildren, and lived his life to the fullest. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 25 at 2pm at Edgefield Baptist Church, 700 Russell St., Nashville, TN with Brother Jamie English, Sr., officiating. The family requests you come prepared to celebrate his life with them, therefore, in lieu of black clothing, wear something bright and cheerful. For those desiring, donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank or the Nashville Rescue Mission.
